New owner of modded DTV with questions - can anybody help?

    I'm new owner of Commodore 64 DTV modded to computer with these mods:
    PS/2 keyboard port
    internal PSU
    UIEC/SD (or anything like this)
    two control ports
    one serial port
    composite video
    RCA audio


    I found some problems which want to solve, so I'm asking anybody who knows about and can help.


    My DTV has PS/2 problem - I tried to connect USB keyboard by USB>PS/2 but keyboard not accepted and not working, I tested to be sure else one and the same result. Accepts DTV PS/2 keyboards only or is it possible to overide it by any trick?
    I want to remap keyboard - it is mapped like PC US keyboard except switched Z and Y - like in Germany and here in Slovakia - but I'm not using it. I want to remap to own layout - tell me anybody how?
    SD Card access can be easier by any DOS wedge - exist any?
    Question also: How to copy files in drive #1 (so flash ROM)? In this case also how to create own ROM image and transfer it to DTV?
    I was reading about PS/2 mouse on User Port - I want only to know if is possible to use mouse on one of joystick port - my DTV has not User Port


    It is lot of Questions, thank you all for at least reading it.
    I'm thankful for each help.

    Only PS/2 keyboards are supported. These simple USB-PS/2 adapters will only work if they were delivered with the keyboard, i.e. the keyboard must be designed to support PS/2.

    JiffyDOS works.
    But be careful not to brick your DTV. AFAIR there is a hard way to flash Jiffy directly replacing the kernal (dangerous) and an easier way, startable from the menu (less probably to brick it). I chose the easy way. :-)

    With USB mice I know that Kind of problem. The usb-device needs to support the legacy mode and not all mice support it. BUT! Till now I thought that keyboards always support the legacy mode. Did you test with a real PS/2 keyboard?
    And there is an other problem with the DTV an keyboards. The keyboard is not initialized correctly. Do you have a reset switch? You should switch on the DTV, wait a few seconds, reset the DTV (do not powercycle!) and then test the keyboard.

    I understand - so I'll buy PS/2 keyboard and use it by switch for PC and DTV.


    Small microcontroller between DTV and keyboard I don't know if is present - I was not modding DTV, I bought it so as is.
    Can I do any test how to get if is present.


    Last Q about 5V power supply I don't understand correctly.
    My DTV has built-in PSU connected to 220V power by same cable like power to PCs...


    BTW: Is possible to find OnScreen Keyboard program for DTV? I saw it in few screenshots...

    Simplest thing would be to open the DTV and have a look inside. If there is a small 8-pin IC connected between the keyboard connector and the DTV board you have a twister.

    The original DTV runs on 4 batteries that results in a total voltage of 6V. PS/2 keyboards work on only 5V so running on a fresh set of batteries might fry your keyboard.
    If you have a proper 5V supply everything is fine.

    Yes, there is a trick to enable this. I think you have to wiggle the joystick while booting the DTV,
