Mega 65 ports add-on card - still available? if, where?

I'd like to appologize for and note that we have did not finish the arm code for the widget board in full, thus expansion port, rtc (and possibly other things I forgot) are not yet there. However, it would be wonderful to see you guys continue to develop that. In any way, the widget board will give you perfectly lag-less joystick and C64 plus C65 keyboard support with the current widget board firmware, very different to "other" soutions available on the market. deft: nothing to apologize !

It is great, that you keep supporting the Nexys A7 with bitstreams.

The MEGA65 Nexys variant is a tinker solution, a MEGA65 with full potential to reach up to it's MEGA65 desktop brother.

But it's cheap and fully MEGA65 compatible. So whatever runs on the Desktop or DevKit runs on the Nexys as well.

If i remember correctly, i think, one of the designers mentioned, that he've put non used Bus lines from the STM32 onto some pin outs of the DM65pic so it even should be possible, without to much hassle to implement the IEC bus.

Also, there are still, at least, two PMOD connectors available on the the Nexys A7 to implement i.e. an Userport.

The possibilities are enormous, if people start thinking FPGA.

Btw, did you know, that you can flash the bitstream with Vivado, directly into the Nexys4 ?

Then you are able to boot up in even less time. You find the instructions in the MEGA65 manual at GitHub.

You need the Vivado Webpack (Which requires, registration with free licensing)

If one is still looking for a proper power switch S1 for the widget board, this one would be a perfect fit without the need for drilling additional holes:

Either 200AWMSP1T1A1M7Q (long actuator, Mouser: 612-200AWMSP1T1A1M7Q, Digikey: EG5772-ND)

or 200AWMSP1T2A1M7Q (short actuator, Mouser: 612-200AWMSP1T2A1M7Q, Digikey: 200AWMSP1T2A1M7QE-ND)

And at least Mouser is having plenty of them in stock. I haven't tested these switches yet, but I am very sure they will fit. I will order a couple of them and report...

I got my widget boards by JLCPCB. You need the gerber files and than you can easily order them.

I have a blank widget PCB but not the parts and the skils to build it. I use a keyrah v2 for now. But would much rather use my c65 keyboard!

Meanwhile, I am aiming to get widget board support on the N4 (non-DDR) boards working as well (actually because its easier to have all N4 targets support the widget board, than to pick and choose the changes).

Gute Frage. Es gibt ein paar Leute, die die Platinen hergestellt lassen haben. adtbm errinerst du vielleicht, den momentanen Situation damit?

Ich weis nur, dass einige die Platinen bestellt haben.

Das kniffelige am Widgetboard ist eigentlich wirklich nur das auflöten des STM.

Man müsste also einen Platinenhersteller finden, der einem zumindestens den STM schon auflötet.

Dann könnte man eine Sammelbestellung machen.

Löten würd ich den mit viel Tacky Flux entweder mit Heißluft oder mit nem Micropencil unter dem Mikroskop. Das sollte gehen.

Solange es kein BGA ist ...

ich bin zeitlich unter Wasser, hab mir gedacht, hey cooles Projekt, und mein Chef hat mir für dieses Jahr Einarbeitung in FPGA in meine Ziele geschrieben. Nexys und Nexys DDR sind vorhanden, wobei das Nexys schon den Mega-Core bootet (habt Ihr für Nexys-Benutzer auch die Files (Bitstreams.zip und das andere Zip verfügbar ??)

Ich muß ein bisschen räumen und Zeit finden, habe aber prinzipiell den Maschinenpark, um den Kram zusammen zu löten, und muß mich eh mit der Tool Chain beschäftigen.

Wenn jemand die Boards bestellt, bin ich gerne dabei.

Addendum: hat jemand ne BOM zum Widget Board greifbar ? Ich würd dann mal schauen, was bei Digikey, Reichelt, TME, Farnell an Bestellung möglich ist und ggfs den Teil der Bestellung übernehmen.

Ich habe mir die Stückliste aus der Eagle Datei geholt.

Weiter vorne im Thread kannst du auch sehen, welche Teile wir u.a. genommen haben.

Ich schau mal, ob ich die Stückliste direkt finde....

Dort sind die jeweils neuesten Bitstreams immer verlinkt.
