Thats a wrong value. if a red bar means that you have to press any key.
Tomorrow afternoon I have finished both games. I am currently coding a decryptor to make correct jump addresses.

That red bar is the same that typically says "Insert dungeon disk and press a key" when you enter a dungeon. Its just that the text appears to be missing, but the red bar remained.

I have tested Phantasie 1 a little bit further:
- combat screen in overworld seems to be fine
- walking in overworld is fine too, changing locations on the map works fine
- entering locations also work fine
anyway I found the following issues:
1. if you enter a dungeon -> blank screen with red bar, after pressing fire it loads the dungeon, but you can't enter or exit.. annoying repeating beep sounds and blinking selection icon.
2. if you loose all your characters during a battle, again the blank screen with the red bar appears, after pressing the fire a cutscene with a demon will show up where the dead characters will become undead or destroyed, after this sequence a blank screen and nothing happens anymore (game freeze)
Phantasie 2:
1. If a encounter shows up on the overworld, a message comes up : you may have inserted a wrong diskette", after pressing fire it shows an error message: "?File data error in 21720" followed by a READY and coursor prompt

I have solved all the problems with jump addresses. Part 2 is finished and should now work without problems.
By the way, I used the windows calculator to find out all the new values.
And now I will continue to work on "Phantasie 1" and will finish it today.
If "inserted a wrong diskette" appear on screen, attach the d81-image in winvice again. This is a problem with winvice in connection with the snapshot function.

Great Job Stephan, the game works without error now.. but there is a major downside - it works only with this settings:
Drivetype: D81
True Drive Emulation: ON
Virtual device traps: OFF
This makes loading times very very slow.
Any other Setting to make it faster (just deactivating True drive emulation or enable Virtual device traps) resulting in messages like "Wrong Disk entered" followed by the file data error allready mentioned or just the "wrong Disk" message.
Could you check if you can make it work without "True drive emulation", that would make the game much more enjoyable...

I will examine the loading routine when I have the work on "Phanthasie 1" ready. I still need about two hours to do this.
I don't know yet if I will change the loading routine. Because of the DTL-compile, I first have to know what the meaning of some p-codes is.
PS: I use Jiffydos in my 1581. That’s pretty quick.
I actually wanted to continue working on game, Murder on the Mississippi. Well, it won't be until tomorrow.

And now the work on "Phantasie 1" is finished. Everything should now work the way I wanted it to No more screen messages, "press any key to continue".
If a 1581 version, then it is correct. Just poking around in the compiled basic code takes getting used to.

Ich würde in der Regel wohl "ob" mit "whether" übersetzen und "wenn" oder "falls" mit "if". Zumindest ist es definitiv kein "whether", wenn im Satz auch ein "dann" folgt, also "wenn/falls ... dann" wird zu "if ... then", wie wir es auch in BASIC kennen. Sätze mit "als ob" kann man hingegen wohl generell mit "as if" übersetzen.

Schade, dass es keinen DTL-Decompiler gibt. Es wäre problemlos machbar, den der P-Code ist sehr ähnlich mit dem Austro Speed P-Code.
Ich weiß das jetzt recht genau. Nur eines ist lästig, und zwar, dass u.a. die Sprungadressen verschlüsselt sind.

I just was testing the latest Phantasie II release "Phantasie 2 v1.2 fix2.d81.7z" and I am getting that black screen with red bar when entering the dungeon. I know it is fixed in Phantasie I which I just tested again to make sure I wasn't confused. Phantasie I does seem to work perfectly, with no prompts for disk swaps, even entering the dungeon goes straight to the dungeon (no more prompt to swap). Can you take a look at Phantasie II and see if that empty red bar can be remvoed like it is in Phantasie I now?

That's strange, very strange. I am absolutely sure that I have installed the patch in the game. But there was nothing patched. I have now reinstalled the patch in the files.
Then I tested the game. There was no red bar, even after playing twenty times. Now the fixed Disk number three as an attachment. It's getting embarrassing for me.
I am sorry for the circumstances.

playing Phantasie 1 since several hours now.. works so far, but there is still an error on loading combat in dungeons, I think it happens when he wants to load a certain type of enemies, so it's completly random when the error comes up.. I append the vsf and the screenshot here, could you check?

I took a look at that. there may be problems with the REL-files. please do not use fast loaders like action replay. I'm going to examine that more closely now.
but it is not due to the code changes I made to the game.
There is unfortunately no possibility to deactivate the true drive emulation unless I have a dtl-basic decompiler. But there is no decompiler for dtl-basic.
By the way, thank you for testing. I always enjoy playing the game.

Wenn ich "Murder on the Mississippie" fertig habe, belommst du das Game zum Testen, wenn du möchtest.
Die deutschen Texte im Spiel, sind übrigens 100%ig kompatiebel zum englichen Pendant.
Eigentlich sollte das Spiel schon längst fertig sein, nur im Moment komme ich einfach nicht dazu, am Game weiterzuarbeiten. Aber was lange währt wird endlich gut.

Magst du das Spiel Bitte mal mit der 1581-JiffyDos testen. Ich hatte mit Jiffydos bisher keine Fehler feststellen können.
Vielleicht Zufall, Vielleicht auch nicht. Wenn es aber mit Jiffydos läuft, wüsste ich schon, wonach ich suchen müsste.
Ich würde nicht frage, aber das ist mir schon einigemale passiert, dass Spieleanpassungen mit einer Standart-1581
sporadisch Ladefehler hatten, die mit Jiffydos nicht auftraten.
