Now we need just someone to port the CPC core for the MEGA65. But I guess demand for the Schneider CPC ist just neglectable.

That means that you also have the ZX80, ZX81, Spectrum 48k and the Spectrum 128k "for free". As an "old" Sinclair user (I learned BASIC on the ZX80, then the ZX81 and later the Spectrum), this is a lot of fun.

Don't forget if those are real separated cores on the Next (not just config changes and using the same core - honestly I don't know ...) then those must be separate cores on MEGA65 as well ... (as they are those on Next too, just they have different core selector screen than MEGA65 has).

and does the nextel demo run with wifi on the mega65 ?

and the uart for rs232?

if not, you still have to work on it, otherwise it's not a next.
