AROS ONE x86 (2.1) - Deutsche Tastaturbelegung?

    I have associated AmiFox with OpenURL requests, a tool used by Amiga/AROS Software to direct you to their site for any updates or news.


    I would say that it is very fast and very practical to download the software, I made a small video showing the functionality of AmiFox !!!


    In the attached video test, the PerCMan software once expired automatically redirects you to its site to get info and download the updated version

    By Christmas I should be able to distribute the new version 2.3 of AROS One, there are a lot of new features in this release, updated Core, new software and a lot of updated software.


    In addition I have created new configurations and completed the 4 Icon Sets, as always installable through a simple click, there are now almost a thousand of them.


    Among the novelties of AROS One v2.3 there is the presence of 3 new Directories located in "Extras" it's about "Benchmarks", "DemoEffects" and "DemoScene", see screenshot, it's about a lot of very good Demo on RTG screen, many of them came from Amiga world.

    AROS One 2.3, new version of the AROS x86 Distribution ABIv0, in this release there are many new features, Core and Third Party Software updates, in the list you can see in detail all the update

    For the installation a clean (ex-new) installation is recommended, this is because the Core, configurations and location of some folders have changed, possibly for those who have their own configurations could make a backup and if compatible install them later.

    Started the transition to the new Core and new Contrib software compiled with the new C library.

    This morning deadwood made available the new Build and the new Contrib compiled with the new C library, the work of integration in the various Distributions has begun, a lot of work and a lot of tests before seeing some ready for users!

    So richtig überzeugt mich das alles nicht. Immerhin ist Ikarus Desktop Live auf einem Pc installierbar. Bei 2 anderen bleibt der beim booten mit der Live CD mit einem ACPI Error hängen.


    AROS One x86 v2.4 läßt sich erst gar nicht installieren. Starten mit der Live CD geht aber. Der bricht mit einem Festplatten Fehler ab, obwohl die Festplatte in Ordnung ist.


    Alles mit echter Hardware, wobei kaum welche untersttzt wird.


    Dieses Programm zum Partitionieren der Festplatte ist eine echte Katastrophe. Nix ändern, nur Sata als Festplatte einstellen, und dann installieren. Die Festplatte muß komplett leer sein, sonst funktioniert das auch nicht. ;(

    Kann sein, wenn man die richtige Hardware hat, das es besser funktioniert. Das kann aber auch nicht der Sinn sein, daß man sich erst mühselig unterstützte Hardware zusammen suchen muß.

    Naja, aber das Problem hast du den anderen "amiganoiden" Systemen wie MorphOS und AmigaOS4 ja auch, auch das läuft nur auf bestimmter Hardware (von Emulation und/oder VMs mal abgesehen) ... AROS hat es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, ein Quelloffenes amiganoides Betriebssystem zu sein, welches eine hohe Kompatibilität zu AmigaOS 3.1 hat. Nebenbei kann man dann halt auch Programme darauf laufen lassen, die speziell für AROS kompiliert sind, genau wie bei MOS und AOS4.


    Und es gibt halt nur für die Hardware eine Unterstützung in AROS, für die auch Treiber existieren, simple as that.

    Ich will es ja auch nicht schlecht machen, nur wenn nicht mal partitionieren geht, zumindest nicht so wie man das haben möchte, dann kann es das ja auch nicht sein.


    Und irgendein Amiga Programm starten, da ist ja wohl ein Emu mit im System, was dann letztendlich nicht funktioniert, kann einem das auch vermiesen.


    Und wenn Aros One v2.4 sich nicht installieren läßt dann kommt auch nicht die große Freude auf.

    Wenn man sich ein wenig damit beschäftigt, kann man durchaus einen GRUB Bootloader installieren und so Windows/Linux parallel zu AROS installiert haben ;)


    Ist sicherlich nichts für jemanden der nur mal in AROS reinschnuppern will, dafür gibt es zu viele Fallstricke aber genau dafür ist ja das LIVE System, einfach booten und anschauen ...

    Ich habe hier für jedes System einen einzelnen Rechner.

    Welches Tool haben Sie zur Erstellung der Partitionen verwendet?


    Bei AROS müssen Sie keine Tools zum Partitionieren verwenden, InstallAROS partitioniert automatisch, wenn Sie AROS installieren.


    Bezüglich der Installation auf einem nativen PC, wenn Sie Icaros installiert haben, wird auch AROS One installiert, bedenken Sie, dass Icaros seit vielen Jahren nicht mehr aktualisiert wurde, Hunderte und Aberhunderte von Fehlern wurden im Laufe der Jahre im Core behoben.
