it looks great!!!
Which I remember from my board:
Commodore later cut through the conductor track to the right of the resistance R5. (the white Point!)
See also in the photo .. why I do not know,
Maybe you should draw a soldering point at this point. -
and this is a 326298 Rev A ?
-
Yes, it is exactly this board:
6567 VIC NTSC gesucht ! -
I hope we can do with english for this one
I have spend the last few days looking very carefull that i did the tracks as close to the org. board as i could, but again the more eyes that looks at this the better
I have also spend 3 days with all the components that i removed and sorted them. i now have 10 cupcake molds each filled with the components from each of the 10 zones on layer I2
I have then looked at the text on each component to verify they are right. Strange enough commodore did not stick 100% to their own BOM, but about 80% of the BOM is a match
I then made sure that all the component in sprint layout has the right value.
NOW what?
Those that has the skills and time can help me in this way:
1. Zoom very close and check that i placed everything as good as it can be done ----- i think this is best done in sprint layout as you can have the org board as background
2. If you have a rev A board you can help by checking that i got the values right ---- but remember that commodore did not take documentation and quality control that serious (whatever worked is the rule i think)if you dont have a board i have included a ton of photos on github: https://goo.gl/6oaPiK
-
The thing next to R5 looks strange, you are sure this is not just accident damage?
I got a picture from one that had a working RevA and on that one there is nothing next to R5... the picture is also on github
-
I've a PAL 326298 board here (got it a few days ago). There the trace seems to be cut as well + (but) there was put a 2,71 k* resistor on top of it by Commodore to bridge that exact trance.
*measured it with a multimeter, or just look at the colored rings on the R to see what original value this R(esistor) is about :).
-
On turbomicha's pic there is a resistor as well, but it goes elsewhere [turned 45° to the left up side of the board] regarding the/its left pin. (The right pin of the R ends at the same place on his pic as on mine, it seems).
-
and at CR1 there are also 2 components in parallel that i have not seen before
again i think they just did what worked and made adjustments as they figured things out, some stuff might be found in the next revision and i think some stuff was never documented
-
Yep. (Some very few things -I have to say- were added or replaced by the pre-owner of the board, but at least not CR1 and that R5 area - those seem to be all original C= solder and no resoldering at home kind of stuff.)
-
if you have not had time to look at it dont feel bad about it
Oh.. Oh i'm really sorry. Lost this totaly out of my mind ... But my time is in the moment also very rare, because i have a lot of work to do... But next week i have some free time. Then i will look at it (promised). But the previous version was very good , so i think the final verson will be good too.
And now, here are some good news
! It couldt be possible that i can get in the next weeks a 250466 Board, maybe not in good condition (burnt traces and bad soldering an so on...), but for this project here good enough
! When i will get it, we will look how we get forward with it .
-
a few burnt traces should not be a problem as long we can see where the traces stop and where they should go without doubt then we can use it
my board was without chips but with most of the other components on, what state will this board be in in regards to components?
-
how it looks sorted: http://imgur. com/a/YEsin
pic 2 are the leftovers
one of the 2 components i know where should go... under the crystal.... i made the mistake of not strighten the crystal when i took pictures
the other one i dont know.... but i will figure it once i get a board made and start to put new components on. I have updated the BOM: https://docs.google. com/spreadsheets/d/1Gl0Q71u6fKLPRA9HQiSG8-xY8tPweMwXuy_UGQ1Iayo/edit?usp=sharing
there are 10 zones on it, but everything is linked to the first page. ie the 4164 chips are in 2 zones but on the first page it says i need 8 of them and a link to where i found them
this makes it very easy to make sure i have everything and in the right amount. what i have not had time to check are if all links are still valid and not sold out etc

ähm... wie jetzt ?? was willst du denn jetzt mit einem 250466 Bord ??
Boelle hat sich die ganze Arbeit doch jetzt für das Ur-Bord gemacht ?!!
mfG.

Hello Boelle,..
your last LINKS don´t work ??
an REV A Board, you can also see here: 326298.jpg
also with the brake near R5 -
i had to put a "space" after the dot in dot com
or else i was not allowed to post
so you have to be a bit creative to get the link to work
docs.google. com/spreadsheets/d/1Gl0Q71u6fKLPRA9HQiSG8-xY8tPweMwXuy_UGQ1Iayo/edit?usp=sharing
if you look carefull there is a space before com
also remove the box with arrow symbol

Here in post no.63 (last page of the thread, the second presented 326298 board there) are some more pics of that (my) exact PAL board (it is accidentally the exact same, I bought recently ;)). Just to have a look, if interested.
Missing VR1 + missing VR2 needed to be replaced, but as soon as this was done the board worked (and still works).

What the....genial snickers !!!
eurocircuits has some reasonble prices for a raw board... ie no silk screen and no solder mask etc... just raw copper with holes
now i have a hard time figuring how to setup DRC in sprint layout so that i use their rules to check the board
they have a guide for kicad, but how do i translate that in to the drc box in sprint layout? http://www.eurocircuits.com/blog/kicad-design-rules/
