HDMI Loud Humming Noise

    Hi,

    Just got my MEGA 65 delivered today all is well apart from a loud humming noise when using "Enhanced with sound option" . Tried different HDMI cables, different HDMI sockets on the TV (LG C2) , sound through HDMI works fine on my Ultimate 64, Spectrum Next and various other devices.


    Is this a common problem or is my MEGA 65 faulty?

    I have tried it on 2 more Tv's as I don't have a monitor and my PC is running on my LG C2 OLED tv this has 4 x hdmi 2.1 120hz but supports 50 & 60hz. Also tried on another LG TV with hdmi 1.4 and still the same humming noise, will have a try on an older Samsung TV tomorrow and see how that goes.

    If not I will just have to run it using the DVI setting with no sound as the rear jack connected to my active speakers in dead silent. with no humming at all. I will install the C64 core tomorrow and see how that goes, so do you think the hdmi port it's self is ok?

    Tried it on a 10 year old Samsung TV and it worked fine, no humming at all.


    So it seems it either does not like modern TV's or the newer hdmi cables, I would have tried the old Samsung cable but it's routed behind skirting board.


    I will purchase an older spec cable from amazon or eBay to see if that works on the newer tv's....... but at least I know the hdmi port is ok.
