thanks for the update,Im now using it with Hoxs with no problems atall. I have an idea on how to improve the performance with Hoxs but it will require new command line options in the emulator.
theres 1 feature that im missing in SIDTool- an option to launch the sid player process (be it x64.exe or hoxs64.exe) with high priority. it would prevent hiccups that i ocassionaly get if some other process takes over the CPU for awhile and i happen to have forgotten to assign the priority manually.

Hi assiduous,
I will see what i can do when i implement the autoplay checkbox as mentioned in csdb.
Regarding missing commandline options, i still would like some option for WinVice to play a certain subtune. -
send me the command lines you use for Hoxs64 and VICE in a private message. i might be able to help you alittle.
-
You can see the commandline in the statusbar of sidtool i think. Will take a look when i return home and send you the snip.
As far as i remember there was no option mentioned in the VICE doku and my email request vanished unheard i believe -
Well, i worked on the tool again this evening. Before making this release public, please test it: sidtool.demodungeon.com/124b.zip
It now has checkboxes to enable/disable AutoPlay of Sids for both PlayList and ComposerList as requested in cdsb.
I also added a thread priority dropdown selector. -
the thread priority selector works great, this is exactly what i needed, thanks.
as for the auto play option turning it off prevents the selected sid from being played but it stops the currently played sid at the same time.
please hold the release for awhile,i`ll get back to you regarding the command line.

okies, will hold release a bit.
as for the auto play option turning it off prevents the selected sid from being played but it stops the currently played sid at the same time.I may look into that, but i cant promise anything on that. Reason is i set a shitload of things when clicking a Sid on either Playlist or Composerlist, like
load new tune, extract and display info, reset and restart ticker timer, enable/disable buttons etc etc which influence other program functions itself.EDIT: I updated the archive, fixed a bug when nothing is selected in Thread Priority box
