Hi, I wondered if anyone knows if there is a .crt that can display a disks contents and easily select and run a chosen file with minimal key presses ? For instance, i'm currently using Action Replay mk4 which can show the disk contents with F3, then you can move to the selected file and press F1 to run it. The only thing with this is that Action Replay won't run some stuff.

Do you use a real C64 or an Emulator?

I'm currently using a emulator. Between WinVice and Retroarch.

Then you can use Jiffy-Dos instead of the CRT, you need two Roms of Jiffy-Dos, one for the emulated C64 and one for the emulated floppy drive.

That sounds a bit beyond me ! I mostly use Retroarch Vice because it can be portable and has a on-screen keyboard. With the Action Replay it's a great solution to see the disk contents and then select a different file and run it with only a couple of keys. But of course the compatibility gets reduced.

I'm fairly new to all this so is there a good guide on JiffyDOS somewhere and how to get it set up ?

There's a german explanation of it in the c64-wiki, maybe this helps.

I'll see if Google translate can aid me. Thanks for the link.

I managed to get JiffyDOS working ! It was a lot easier than I was expecting. Thanks for your help.
