Seeing tomorrow is December 1st and that MEGAZINE is slated for this Christmas, what's the latest about it? Is the plan still to print it and distribute it across our home planet before Santa takes off?

Hi everyone.
As most of all probably already know, some M65s from the first production batch have non-working Real Time Clocks. After setting the time and date during the initial configuration, the clock doesn't tick (which can easily be checked by typing PRINT TI$ a couple of times in BASIC 65 - unfortunately the seconds won't change at all). A remedy is in place, however. According to Dan Sanderson's excellent MEGA 65 Welcome Guide, it is possible to use the DS3231 Real Time Clock and attach it to one of the M65 motherboard header connectors using a 4 pin male "Grove" cable. The DS3231 that the Welcome Guide suggests you use is the Cuiisw 5 pin DS3231 module along with Seeed Studio's Grove 4 Pin Male to Grove 4 pin Converstion Cable.
The problem with this setup is, from what I understand, that the Cuiisw's battery can't be replaced. Sure, you can desolder its connection pads but that's not the most elegant solution (and also requires some soldering skills). For this reason, I'd like to know if ICQUANZX's "Small DS3231 AT24C32 I2C Module" along with a female 4 pin Female Jumper to Grove 4P Conversion Cable would also work?
If it technically will work, it seems as if the board expects a LIR2032 3.7 V battery. Dan Sanderson points out that this battery "didn’t provide the full 3 volts required by the RTC unit". Will this be a potential problem using ICQUANZX's Real Time Clock and a fresh LIR2032 battery, or is it likely that Sanderson's Cuiisw board was shipped with a drained battery?

Ausblick auf das Boxart von Archmage
Wow! Ist es möglich dieses Spiel zu kaufen? Oder ist es "nur" möglich das Box zu kaufen, ohne inhalt? (enschuldigung aus mein schlechter Deutsch)

Hi everyone. I really enjoy the M65 spiral bound manual, and I think it really adds to the experience. However, it doesn't really cover everything - for instance, it lacks a BASIC and/or Assembler development tutorial.
Does the M65 project's roadmap include any plans to publish additional spiral bound books for budding developers? 🤔
-
Of course, everyone who provides a listing will receive his issue for free
Are only dudes welcome to order the magazine? 😞

"This is why we can't have nice things".
Spitze! Ist es möglich, die Boxen zu kaufen?

Wow! Someone named Tayger has allegedly donated €40,000 last night! Can anyone involved with the project confirm that this donation is legit?
I think it is. Otherwise it wouldn’t be on the website.
Right. The reason for me asking in the first place, however, is that there have been a few malicious fundraising contributions on Kickstarter where someone has appearently donated a (large) sum of money, only to withdraw it at a later stage. I suppose it's a way of financially troll someone .
All of this being said, I'm hoping for the best and that the super generous doner is legit!

So, after your last post, I emailed Tommes who allready has 3D-modelled the 1351 and owns the molds of the C64C about what Philippe Lang is going to do. Perhabs we may bring them both together in a business relationship and a technical exchange, so the molds will be produced in an universal kind to be used not only with an Amiga-inlay.
That's great news - with a bit of luck (and some more coordination efforts like this! ^=^), Tommes and Philippe will be able to sort something out for the benefit of the entire C64/128 community!

In my opinion Philippe Lang is glad about his new Amiga-500-cases. Maybe he does not know that the mouse-molds could be the much more interesting thing (according the amount of assets to be produced). So don't wait to email him about your wish so that the molds will be produced in a way that they may be used sepperately.
Exciting news! I contacted Philippe yesterday to point him to this thread, telling him about the request to provide empty Amiga Tank Mouse replacement shells meant to create C1531 clones. Not only did he reply almost instantly, but he also opened the door to this project! Here's the message:
Quote from Philippe Lang- I followed your link.
- In fact, the design of the molds is already taking into account that possibility
- If I'm right it was the C1351, sadly we don't have one to understand what should be done.
Fact is, molds are being design right now!If something is doable, it has to R&D now, or even better yesterday!
Is there any chance someone could provide us with 2x of these mices?
- One for me and one for our PM.Referring to my initial post in this thread, unfortunately I don't have a single C1351 mouse in possession (that's the reason I started looking for one in the first place). GeTe - would you mind taking it from here and contact Philippe to see if you guys can help each other out? (if you are - please PM me and I'll send you the contact details)
Like you are saying, the community really deserves brand new mice and this is a potentially very promising opportunity to realize the idea! Again, I am really crossing my fingers and hoping for the best!

Great that there are more people like me who think that this product would be a good idea to be produced in new. We got brand new Competition-Pro-joysticks, can order brand new The-Final-Cartridge-III-cartridges, well, it's about time for new Commodore Mice.

I totally agree with you - a brand new C1531 compatible mouse would be the missing piece (well, along with those pesky keycaps that the community has been promised)! Like you are saying, we already have brand new joysticks, cartridges, keyboards (i.e. the MechBoard), cases, PSUs - not to mention the Ultimate 64.
Regarding Phillipe Lang, it sounds like a great idea to reach out to him and ask him if he's interested in selling empty Amiga tank mouse replacement cases to non-backers. Considering that his amazing A1200 replacement cases are publically available in a lot of Amiga stores, I'd say that there's a fair chance the mouse cases will be available to both end-users and hardware designers like yourself. With a bit of luck (and a nice, professionally designed cardboard box!), I wouldn't be surprised if you would be able to offer the C64/128 community the mouse it deserves in the near future! Best of luck with the reminding part of the development process!

Hi!
(enschuldenug für schreiben in English - ich habe Deutsch im Schule gelehst, aber wenn mann nicht benützen ein Sprache es ist nicht besonders "easy" zu "keep it up to date")
I just wanted to say that the only reason I registered a user account here today was to search the Forum64.de Marketplace for a 1351 Mouse (seeing that they are really expensive on Ebay). Although I didn't find any offers, I did find this thread - and I'm really glad I did. I'm definitely interested in a brand new 1351 clone - in fact, if the price is right I'd be happy to buy one "Commodore beige" and one black!
Crossing my fingers for a Kickstarter!
