Greetings to all ... every now and then when I manage to free myself from the chores of retiree I return to my basement to turn on my Commodore ..
I've been looking for a long time for a file I can upload to my cartridge .. a simple 8K .. so I'm not talking about the magic cartridge / Hucky ![]()
Finally I was able to find the "Azimuth cassette" file ... I have some that I should adjust .. so I needed to create a cartridge with this program.
I have a problem though ... the file has the extension .D64: - (... it is possible to convert it to .BIN to be able to load it on the EPROM.
Thanks..cheers
Dragan
Hi,
Unfortunately, the game doesn't work with my card because something has to be reloaded from the floppy disk.
Hi Hucky
by reloaded you mean it's not the original image? If so, would it be possible with the original disk image?
Should I in case look for it online?
Sorry for the many questions but I was already enjoying the idea of playing with my C64 and your Hucky cartridge that I made (at home) with the wires ![]()
@Update
I found from the same site another version ... please tell me this can work on your cartridge :-))

Alles anzeigenHi ,
Here you will find information and videos on how it works.
However, it is in German 🤷♂️
Bitte melde dich an, um diesen Link zu sehen.
I don't know the game
Mayhem in Monsterland.
Is it a single program or is it loaded from disk?
If it's a single program, then it works with my card.
If you want, I'll create for you the
BIN file.
Can you upload the .d64 file here?
Hucky
Hi Hucky! Thanks for your fast feedback :-))
I'm searching on this site..I hope that it is not illegal
Bitte melde dich an, um diesen Link zu sehen.
Followig @ OliverW. info on github is talking abou this "Mayhem in Monsterland" but with this "magic karte"...but is it not possible with your Hucky?
I am sincere ... it is really very complex for me to understand all the steps I have to take to transform this CRT file into your Hucky format ... if you really can do it you would be a huge favor for a poor pensioner like me :-O
Thank you
Dragan
Hi
Games where program parts are reloaded must be patched separately.
The three games consist of too many bytes altogether for it to run on my card somehow.
I mean there are patches for the Easyflash 3 cartridges.
Hi again Hucky..I hope you are fine
I return to what I had written more than a year ago (how time flies !!)
I tried that utility that you made available to be able to generate the files that you can load on your "Hucky" cartridge
Bitte melde dich an, um diesen Link zu sehen.
Unfortunately I could not understand how it is used ... there is no guide or a practical example to understand how it is used?Starting with Vice..but I don't know how to proceed with it
For example I wanted to try to "generate" the game file for "Mayhem in Monsterland" ...
But rereading the old posts you were mentioning that your card supports up to 64K of files ... if you could carry this game in .bin format from another (CRT?), Can your card be used?
Thank you again!

Alles anzeigenHello Diddl
I foun a guy on Italy (
) that has done this...that's that I need
I mean that it seems to be a classic standard cartridge (512K?) with some roms burned inside..thaere are not any other ics on board..just dip switch in order to selectThe Cartridge in this eBay Link is a very simple Cartridge.
You cannot change the Cartridge Typ neither the Bank by software.
You can do settings with this small DIP Switch.
This Cartridge can work as
- 8K Cartridge
- 16K Cartridge
- Ultimax Cartridge
In 8K Mode you can choose one of 4 Banks using DIP Switch.
In 16K Mode you can choose one of 2 Banks using DIP Switch.
Hi Diddl
thank you for you answer!
So is the .bin file for this utility already available online (I guess so)?
Because if it is a simple 8Kx8 cartridge then it will be enough to copy the image on the first counter and I should get what I need and then check my two 1541s that I still have here in the box ![]()
Is it possible to load the azimuth program for datasette on a simple cartridge?
If it is ONE part (one file) ist ist possible.
If the program loads further data or code form datasette it is not so easy (you have to change the code in the program).

Hi there
I came back after i had put my retrogame instruments aside for some time ... but i got my datasette back in my hand and i think it has an azimuth problem.
My original cassette is also not working
Sorry if I ask here (probably I should do it elsewhere but all in German..and I struggle to understand the correct section)
Is it possible to load the azimuth program for datasette on a simple cartridge?I mean classic cartridge 8K not Magic Desk or special version...
I found online only D64 image that is Floppy disk copy 1:1 ...but I'm looking for .bin in order to burn on my W27C512 Windbond from China ![]()
Thanks to all of you for the support ... as always
Dragan
Dear Hucky
thank you very much again for your support and willingness to help !!
I tried your new version on the board and in fact the loading compared to what I had done is very fast.
I thought there were no more menus ... but the Bubble screen is always there and I always have to press the joystick button to start the game: that's fine
Unfortunately I never have much time despite everything ... but now I have to make at least a second card of yours and mount a Zif and change the Eprom if necessary. I recovered some 512 from the Chinese ... can be canceled .. they arrived and they work: D
Now I'd like to bring the last three games that for me remain among the best after Bubble for sure ..
Turrican II
Zak McKracken
Maniac Mansion
But I remember they were heavy games and I guess the images can't be loaded on a 512K right?
If I could get these too I would be really happy ... but I don't know how and where to recover the files and try the transformation to "Hucky" format
Sorry for my bad english...best regards and happy Easter :-))
Dragan
here are the BINs
For Montezuma's Revenge (i hope you mean this game) you need a 32K Eprom (27C256).
For Ghosts'n'Goblins take a 64K Eprom (27C512)
I don't try the BINs, but i think it works
Hello again Hucky
in my short time even if retired I try to fiddle a bit with these Commodore.
I can confirm that I also tried Ghost on Eprom OTP ... and it works on my homemade board (which is yours :-))
Now I was trying to use that little program of yours ... and maybe something I managed to do.
Since among the many I also remember the legendary Bubble Bobble I followed the procedure .. and incredibly it works! But the loading is very long .. it takes almost 30 seconds.
Is there a way to speed up? Maybe I forgot something? Because your images are very fast loading ... and I read here and there from the user Jocker who even for "Giana Sister" had made a version that loaded in 4 seconds
Now I don't think I have the knowledge to put my hand to the code .. in case, if you have the desire and time, would you be able to do this too? :-))
In the version that was generated I have the initial screen of the game but without the two Dragons ... maybe even here we need a right source
In any case, still guarantees for patience and availability
Alll the best
Dragan
I have created a new tool for my 64K card - so its easy to make cartridges by you own.
Bitte melde dich an, um diesen Link zu sehen.
I'll try with Giana...it works!Great job Hucky
The only difference between your image and original one is the intial Logo of producer...but I have understand that is not possible because it is a protection against copy...is it true?
Another thing..do you have a lineguide for this 64K Karte?
Start with Vice..show me tre options..but I don't understand what I have to do.
I would like to do myself with Donkey Kong or something else..it's amazing that is possible to do different vintage game ![]()
Starting on Vice show me
F1..F3..F5
F1 Load program..I think that I have to write down the file name for example Giana.crt..but it show me error --> Name:...here write Giana.crt...but result is "Status 62,file not found,00,00"
MY doubt is..where I have to copy the crt file?Is it correct in the Vice root?
Thanks again
here are the BINs
For Montezuma's Revenge (i hope you mean this game) you need a 32K Eprom (27C256).
For Ghosts'n'Goblins take a 64K Eprom (27C512)

Wondeful!
Yes for cartridge thanks...you mean 27C256..but I have only 27C512..is it possible to do?MAybe something hardware to configure?
Or I have to duplicate this 32K in order to have 64K image?
Maybe I have something ceramic 256..not electric erase..so I have only "one shot" ![]()
Another question..your C64 Karte is modified only for Giana..is it correct?I mean..MArio..Montezuma e Ghost works with unmodified Hucky board
Thank you very much Hucky..the best!
For my cartridge i have the "Ghost'n'Goblins" BIN ready to use on my laptop.
Will post it later today
if you wish a try to make a BIN from Montezuma, too and will post it here.
My english is so bad, too
Wow Hucky..you are incredible man..it will be wonderfoul to have both image ![]()
I'm waiting thank you!
I'll try Bitte melde dich an, um diesen Link zu sehen....how it works? Vice is needed I think.
Thank you too Bigby for your great ssupport and information here...:)
As said before my dream is to realize with Hucky board also Montezuma and Ghost 'n Goblins
First one was with Giana one of my favorite games...and Ghiost'n Goblins I remember with Sega Master System
Giana Sisters with Intro for my 64K Cartridge:

Hi Hucky
well..thank you very much!I'll try to test this afternoon..I'm very curious to try it ![]()
In a broader sense is there a utility to convert CRT files found on the web to the "Hucky" format?
I'm comig from old school .. when the games on the cartridge were only one .. I don't like modern multi rom cards very much .. also because my age I had just a few games that remained in my mind as the most beautiful.
I was thinking for example of Montezuma's revenge and Ghost 'n Goblins.
Of course I'd like to be able to figure out how to convert CRT files to bin for use with your card.
I made Mario's thanks to the fantastic "Bigby" report that made available the documentation on the portal and the rom ready
I hope the translation is understandable ![]()
Thanks again and best regards
Dragan
Goodmorning everyone
My name is Dragan class 66 and I am from Slovenia
I have been following your discussions for a long time and with a lot of interest .. you are really very good.
In the end I decided to sign up ... perhaps also thanks to more time available considering that I am retired
I followed the directions of "Bigby" and "Hucky" to make the Mario cartridge and I succeeded on the basis of the Hucky version ... I honestly didn't think I could do it ![]()
Giana Sister has always been my favorite game ... I followed Bigby's tips again (you are really great) and after making a "magic desk" card I uploaded the file of "The Jocker" and it works!
But in the original version (I have the disc) there is also an intro. I tried the Giana files from SAM, I managed to start on the Vice emulator .. but as it said "Bigby" loaded on the cartridge does not work .. black screen after the intro ![]()
Has anyone looked at this again?
Would it be possible to have the .bin version of Giana Sister for your board?
With cartconv I don't find among the options how to convert a CRT to your "Hucky" format
Sorry for the mistakes but I don't know much English and I rely on the translator
Thank you all for your attention and for any support
