Having just posted a long message in a new thread about minor issues I noticed while assembling my DevKit, I've just noticed the point here, on this thread, about the floppy drive spacer washers being too small.
As explained in my own thread, I suffered from this problem myself. However, it's possible to overcome it with perseverance and care. With six of the eight spacers, I was eventually able to get them in place by screwing them onto the screw threads with my fingers – though I confess that I did hurt my fingers doing this.
For the remaining two, they were just too tight and I had to use a pair of pliers. But with the pliers, it wasn't all that difficult to get them on. Had I used pliers for all eight, it'd have been much less difficult.
So, for anyone else in this position… by all means enlarge the holes or ask for a replacement set of spacers. But if you have a pair of pliers handy to hold the spacers while you screw the screws into them, it's perfectly possible to use the ones that are slightly too small.
