Truly enjoying Sonic on the c64, didn't think such a thing was possible. Makes me wonder if more games from the Master System could be converted over.

I truly appreciate the artwork for films and video games from the 80s. Feels like everything is computer generated now and the talent is still there but it's been redirected.

Have never heard of or seen this cartoon and I remember a few from back then. I'm originally from Vermont and I find it hard to understand what they're saying. I'm sure quality of the audio doesn't help either huh

😂 yeah, I watched his video about the c64 and he was a little harsh. There's definitely a lot of strange games but unlike a standard gaming console I think the c64 opened up a way for anyone up with a game. With that came a flow of concepts from people that didn't make game for the mainstream

I gotcha, the most recent sonic is another game that amazes me. Hard to believe these are being played on a c64. I've seen several documentaries talking about the hardware and even though things like the NES came out the 64 was able to hold it's own as a gaming machine

I've been playing scramble Infinity and it's simply amazing the modern games and arcade ports we're getting on the 'ol c64. I wish we could take some of this programming knowledge and send it back in time. 40 years of getting to know a machine can really get folks to squeeze a lot out of a machine

Sorry about that, the STM does the emulation and esp handles wifi and Bluetooth. Don't know how the heck I screwed that up 😮💨 I know there's specific reasons the creator picked the STM, development tools maybe. The project went from one guy to a small team involving software and hardware guys. I read up on what's going all the time but a lot is out of my league. I do a lot of testing of the builds and maintaining the plus store for content. That's probably why I got the boards backwards.

They have discussed using other chips and are currently using an ESP8266. Use of other chips are discussed due to rising costs among other things. The things they want to get working is games with DPC+ and CDFJ bankswitching and those are currently running via Harmony cart. If programers want to have those options on PlusCart we're going to have to get them working via some kind of server side conversion or people will have to write games to work on two separate processors.

Awesome little reference book.

I've watched the project come together and it's awesome to see people breathe life into a modern Mega65.
