It just starts to look like, its cheaper to buy a whole new joystick than repair old one.

This seems to be a great game!

I don't think that I need to have same switches that my joystick currently has

Cheap ones will do.

Just what I was thinking, before I forgot whole project. I have one switch broken, but I should probably change all four to have same feeling for every direction.

I have now ordered 5 microswitches on ebay for € 2.64
will report when they have arrived ...
Out of curiosity what kind of switches did you order? There seems to be many different types, with different voltage ratings.
I made a adhoc repair to one switch by opening it and "repaired" the spring inside... It kind of works but definetly needs a new switch.

Well all in all it pretty much does the job

Scaled it to four pages and taped it together
... Still have the msdos version... Don't know where is my c64 version

I've been playing Pirates!
https://csdb.dk/release/?id=117568
Couldn't find my original map, and had to print new one.
It would have been great to have trainer version of the game back in the day. Game is 1000 times more fun with crew always happy mode.

Just stumbled upon something neat. Has anyone tried?
https://github.com/dwhinham/mt32-pi
Would it be possible to hook amiga 500 on to mt32-pi with something like this?
-
I don't think there is need for memory expansions. I think it is possible to configure any imaginable memory configuration through PiStorm.
http://tech.webit.nu/pistorm-basic-configuration/
Or do I understand it all wrong... as said I don't own pistorm and my amiga still needs some work to be done.
-
Is it possible to change PiStorm configs to different processors -> thus different mem configs?
-
I've never had any problems with amiga forever roms, don't think they are encrypted.
Just tested wbclassic install with fs-uae (cloato roms and workbench 2.1 disk), just to see if it works with less than 2mb ram, witch it doesen't
I think whdload needs 2mb ram.
-
I also come from c64 corner. Just bought my first amiga. Didn't even know about pistorm at the time, but I'm definitely going to get one when they become available... if that happens.
I've used amiga from emulators (fs-uae), but never quite understood amigas ram options (fast ram, slow ram, chip ram, zorro ram... etc)
So I was wondering which ram pistorm has, and is it usable for whole system, for example whdload? Or do I have to have some ram expansions on my amiga 500?
It has a some mem expansion card on, from which I removed battery as it had leaked, and re-soldered few corroded resistors. I have to re-examine card when my gotek drive arrives. Currently i don't have any amiga disks so I can't actually do anything with the machine. So I don't even know if the expansion works at all.

So I bought amiga 500. It turned out to be rev 5 board and had the old style (amiga 1000) keyboard, with some keys missing and few broken swiches.
I knew before buying that the keyboard would be broken, but assumed it would be easy repair. Just replace membrane and buy some caps.
Now as I look how to repair amiga 1000 keyboard, and find out how expensive the swiches are
[External Media: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-Nexeg7nqk]I'm thinking that its cheaper to buy new used keyboard.
So the question
Are different revisions keyboards compatible with each other? Can I install for example rev 6 keyboard to rev 5 motherboard?
Can't see why not but usually assuming something leads you to troubles

It seems that only way is to make lots of disk images and mount them to pi.
Then use d81 images instead of d64s
Exelent idea, thanks.
-
It resets pi1541 if I try to change directory. Pi gets stuck if it resets while in program.
So back to start. It seems that only way is to make lots of disk images and mount them to pi.

I was wondering easiest way to play .sid files with real commodore 64, pi1541 and Kung Fu Flash.
For now I have added files to .d64 image and loaded that with sidplay64. But is there a program that would read full directories so i could use HvSc database?

Yes this machine is using Wayland. It's actually debian testing/experimental version with mixed packages... very close to franken debian, but I've managed so far without clean install.
So don't start a huge overhaul of your code because this machine didn't work

lol that did it!!! Great work... would be nice to know what that does
