Hi!
There is no need of special software in a D64 oder testprogram
if you want to print a BASIC program, you can load the program, then enter (that PRINT#3 has no spaces):
Thanks for detailed explanation.

Selftest?
Bit cryptic... I wasn't aware it had built in self test..
Now downloaded it's manual and found it.
Thank you.
Looking for some C64 software to test MPS801 printer with.
Can be either .crt image to use with Kung Fu Flash cartridge or .d64 image.
I have MPS801 printer sitting in the box for 20 years or so (somebody gave it to me in the early 2000s), never actually used it.
I want to test if it still works before I give it away. Also any hints how to revive old ribbon?
kind regards

I'm asking my question here instead of in the KFF2 thread, since there is still active communication about the current orders.
Does anyone have any tips on which tools/images/cartridges are suitable for putting them on the KFF? I suspect that this information can be found somewhere in the forum, but my search hasn't yielded anything. I'm not talking about games or demos, but rather useful tools, e.g. for hardware testing.
I've already picked out a keyboard test (maybe it's old news for you):

Have a look at Adrian's Digital Basement Repository on github..

And grab ef3-c64-tools from there

Thanks.. Completely missed it's release !
Hi! I read someone else had same issue I do; I can start a MultiLoad64 game successfully on my KFF, but cant return to menu afterwards. Have to remove Sd card, reset KFF and reinsert SD card. OneLoad64 crts never have issues. Anyone know whats wrong? Thx in advance, /Robert
I had that issue about 1.5 year ago (when Multiload64 game was loaded, pressing menu button would give me "Communication with cartridge failed" message on the screen, the only way to get back to normal functionality was to delete KungFuFlash.dat from microsd), weirdly it seem to have fixed itself when I have tried again 6 months later.
I am using same C64C , same KFF cartridge (though likely later firmware revision), same microsd card (but wiped Multiload folder and copied updated pack to it), same PSU...
A little bit weird.. and I cannot pinpoint what exactly fixed it..
I meant storage space on the chip.
Only kim_jorgensen can say anything about this. But I think it will be quite full.
It was already full around version 1.30 when there was an extra file with parts of the code that had to be kept in the root directory of sd-card.
Kim managed to squeeze it all in one file again (different compiler??).
I think adding any major functionality would probably require external modules to be kept on sd-card.
Now tryed with another 32GB and 16GB ... all working ... but this card will not work with 4gb, only when I partition it to 2GB ...
You could try to remove all partitions, wipe clean and set up partition from fresh...
I have tried multiple cards on mine from 4gb up to 32gb (a-data, kingston, sandisk, samsung) and i don't recall having issues with any of them.
Well, I have sorted it. Turns out that deleting KungFuFlash.dat file from memory card is fixing issue and I can get back into menu as normal.
Tried 3 other games from Multiload directory of OneLoad64 and all of them result in identical issue (game working fine but unable to return to KungFuFlash menu unless KungFuFlash.dat is deleted from sdcard)At least cartridge is not bricked.

Sebby75I would clean the expansion port, sounds like a bad contact to me.
This was first thing that I have tried, made absolutely no difference...
Also tried it in my other C64 (both are same board revision 250469 / 252311 Rev A) with identical result.
Everything else works as it should... just Multiload games from OneLoad64v4 cause issue, deleting KungFuFlash.dat fixes it.
Got bit of an issue after flashing James Pond II - Codename Robocod (by $olo1870) [Easyflash].crt from OneLoad64 v4 (it's in Multiload directory) Game works fine...
but pressing Menu button results in message on the screen "Communication with cartridge failed".. so i cannot get back to normal menu...Pressing reset runs game again...
I'm on firmware 1.44
Any ideas??Regards

Is there a RAD cartridge connected?
Stefan
No extender.. KungFuFlash cartridge connected directly to c64... nothing else plugged in.
I have been using KungFuFlash since 2.5 years and no issues at all until above mentioned crt image was loaded.

I'm totally confused: can this be played without a mouse at all? Because of health reasons, I can't work
It is super fiddly without mouse. You will not get far at all..
Well, you called my behavior "grotesque".
Just the fact that a game (from the PC version?) is ported to the C64 only to be partially played again on the PC.
BEST - play on intended hardware (if you have it)
COMPLETELY OK - play on modern hardware in emulator
WORST - watch on Youtube somebody else playing it ![]()
But in each and every of above cases.. person playing/watching is probably fan of C64 ![]()

Being able to play with 2 Screens on a C128 Emulator (VICE) is awesome!
Unfortunately my PC mouse does not work with the version...
Hi Joe. Do you play on a two screen setup? Try to unplug the second monitor. That helped me to get the mouse going. It's a shame to not have the two windows on different monitors though.
Just gave it a try on pc with two monitors...
Mouse works fine here with 2 monitors..
1351 in port #2 in settings and then Alt + M to "grab mouse"

Anybody playing it via mouSTer usb mouse adapter?? Does it work fine??
Thanks.. Just what I was looking for.. ![]()
hello! how many memory rewriting cycles?
stm32f4 endurance is minimum 10000 writes - if that's what you're asking..
I believe only CRTs larger than 64kB are actually written by KKF into flash memory (correct me if I'm wrong)

v1.43 is out with 128k Super Snapshot support.. YAY !!
It will take a while before I have time to create some variants with a few strategically placed nops to see if that might help. Making the A14 test longer also shortens the time the data is on the bus near the end of the cycle.
Could you possibly do a video and upload it to youtube to show how it is (supposed to work / working on your unit)?
It will probably make it easier for others to test, if they can clearly see expected behaviour?
Kind regards
