Ich glaube schon, dass das möglich ist. Die Bildausgabe auf Vollbild stellen, so dass das Bild auf den ganzen 16:9 Bildschirm gestreckt wird, und dann mit einem VGA Adapter auf den 4:3 Bildschirm ausgeben.

Ich habe auf meinem NAS einen Firefox in einem Docker Container laufen. Wenn ich da die Schneeflocken laufen lasse geht die Prozessorlast auch stark nach oben. Scheint also wirklich mit der Virtualisierung der Grafik zu tun zu haben.

Um dem entgegen zu wirken, wurden in Tapedecks der Hifi-Klasse ja spezielle Köpfe eingebaut.
Dass solche auch in der billigen Datasette stecken, würden ich nicht erwarten.

Da steht, dass nach anfänglichen stärkerem Abrieb, der Kopf quasi blankpoliert war und es keinen weitern Abrieb gab. Der Spalt blieb aber scharf, was das wichtigste beim Tonkopf ist.

Ganz im Gegenteil, da der Ausgang monochrom war hatte er keinen Farbträger. Dadurch war das Signal extrem scharf. Ich habe mir Damals einen alten Grünmonitor mit langer Nachleuchtdauer aus der Ferialpraxis mitgenommen. Da fuhr ich dann im Dual Monitor Setup.
Auf dem Grünmonitor konnte ich dann in 736x 576 DTP und CAD machen.
Und auch der ATonce war angenehmer, für Turbo Pascal etc…
Und für Fernseher und FBAS gabs ja den Modulator. Den hatte ich auch. Zum aufzeichnen auf Video. Genlock war anfangs zu teuer.

Im Übrigen lässt sich in einer Grundig "Technische Information" (eine Art Fachmagazin für RFT Betriebe, mit Produktvorstellungen, Service Tips usw von Grundig) nachlesen, dass Cr02 Band einen erhöhten Kopfverschleiß verursacht, weswegen Grundig nun härtere Longlife Köpfe einsetzt, bei denen dieser Effekt weniger zum Tragen kommt.
War irgendwann aus mitte der 70er Jahre, der Artikel. Die genaue Ausgabe müsste ich heraus suchen.
Wobei ich nicht glaube, dass das bei den Spielzeiten, die eine Datasette normalerweise läuft, praktische Auswirkungen hat. Denn überlegt mal, wie lange ein Hifi laufwerk meistens läuft und wir kurz im vergleich dazu die Ladezeiten beim C64 sind!

Gerade zufällig was nettes entdeckt.
Alter SID auf die linke Seite, neuer SID auf die rechte und das ganze dann durch einen Sourround Verstärker laufen lassen. Ein alter pro Logic funktioniert prima.
je nach SID-Tune kann das zu sehr abgefahrenen aber oft gut klingenden Ergebnissen führen.
Beim Surfen zum A1k Forum kommt ein englischer Popup der nach Username und Passwort fragt.
Mir kommt das verdächtig vor. Ich habe es mit Fake Credentials probiert, ob man weitergeleitet wird, aber man bleibt am Popup.
