I have started on a new version of the Flyer however. I'm using a much more powerful processor with more memory, which will allow me to add a lot more features such as SSL support.
I currently have a breadboard layout with most of the hardware in place. Code-wise, I have a new set of "foundation" code which will allow me to develop features much more rapidly. If you're a programmer (and interested), I can share more details if you like.
A small list of some planned features include full SSL support, more native internet protocol support (SMTP, FTP, etc), microSD, rs232 serial port with support for Hayes command set / ethernet-over-ip, and a web interface for Flyer configuration. Again, I can put together a long list if you like. I'm also trying to incorporate as many wish-list requests I've received from Flyer users, many of which just weren't possible with the existing Flyer (microSD support being an obvious one).
