Hm. Also da ich bei mir das absolut selbe System fahre wie du, abgesehen von einem schnelleren Prozessor und einer NVidia-Grafikkarte, kann es nur eins bedeuten:
XFCE ist Schuld.
Hehe. Also klingt erstmal wie ne unfaire Vermutung, ist aber durchaus ernst gemeint. Wenn du XFCE benutzt, bist du vermutlich ein Minimalist und hast viele Sachen nicht eingebunden/compiliert, die VICE/tcpser vielleicht brauchen.
Check das mal und dann sehen wir weiter. Die Grafikkarte könnte es theoretisch auch sein, aber glaub ich nicht dran. Unwahrscheinlich. Ansonsten wäre noch die Kernelversion. Ich fahre ein etwas älteres MM-Kernel.
