XEMU Keyboard Mapping Tool

    Hallo zusammen,

    keine Ahnung ob es euch auch so geht. Aber wenn ich am PC den XEMU nutze, dann stolpere ich immer wieder darüber, dass ich die Tastenbelegung nicht genau weiß, vor allem wo welche PETSCII Symbole und die Farben liegen. Ich habe auf dem MEGA65 Github-Seite eine schöne Tastaturgrafik gefunden, welche ich noch etwas modifiziert habe. Für diese habe ich ein kleines Tool geschrieben dass unter Windows im Hintergrund läuft und per Hotkey die XEMU-Tastatur ein- und ausblendet.

    Vielleicht mag es der Eine oder Andere ja auch nutzen. Viel Spaß dabei.

    Hallo zusammen,


    ich habe noch ein paar Optimierungen vorgenommen.

    • der Hotkey lässt sich nun über die INI selbst festlegen (Kombination aus ALT und/oder CTRL und/oder SHIFT und einem Buchstaben)
    • Autostart bei Anmeldung wählbar
    • Stay on Top
    • Speicherung der letzten Window Position

    Bisher habe ich das Tool nur für Windows erstellt, aber bei Bedarf sind auch eine Linux und vielleicht auch Mac Version denkbar.


    digger72 das solltest du auf dem Mega65 Discord auch bewerben und am Filehost hochladen. Das interessiert sicher noch einige die hier nicht im Forum sind

    Ja Danke für den Hinweis Goodwell , ist sicher eine gute Idee. Mein Download-Link hier wurde ja entfernt, da bin ich eh am überlegen wo und wie ich es ablegen kann, damit ich auch von hier aus drauf verweisen kann. Download-Link per PN ist ja eher suboptimal.

    Aber da das Tool erst 2 Tage alt ist bin ich sowieso noch am testen, README schreiben und organisieren.

    Sorry, if I don't understand the conversation well enough, my main issue that I don't speak German, and in general my main problem with Forum64 that being too much German (even outside of the "MEGA65 Diskussion (german)" topic), which I don't speak (so lately I more and more avoid forum64 because of that). But I try my best, and this is my excuse to write in English, at least ... But for sure, for others the problem that I don't speak German, and everything if fine with Forum64, for sure, I hear you.


    But anyway, my main point: Nice work. Feel free to mention in Discord too, indeed, even on the #xemu channel. And btw, "muscle memory" on notebooks never works (at least for me) even not with my preferred PC layout either, I never use notebook without an external keyboard, since all notebooks has _horrible_ keyboard. Brrrr. ;)

    Mir sind in den letzten paar Tagen keine Fehler mehr aufgefallen. Ich habe jetzt sämtlichen Debugcode entfernt was die EXE deutlich kleiner macht und ich habe auch eine kleine Website eingerichtet auf der man das Tool jetzt ohne PN herunterladen kann.


    I haven't noticed any errors in the last few days. Now I removed all debug code, which makes the EXE much smaller, and I've also set up a small website where you can now download the tool without sending a PM.

    Ich habe für das nächste Update geplant für jede Taste ein Maus-Overlay einzubauen, welches einem die PETSCII Codes für die Zeichen anzeigt, alternative Zeichen (bei Caps-Look Umschaltung) und eventuelle CTRL-Funktionen bestimmter Zeichen.


    For the next update I plan to add a mouse overlay for each key, which will show you the PETSCII codes for the characters, alternative characters (when switching caps look) and possible CTRL functions for certain characters.
