An eBay auction recently ended for a silver label with a very low serial WGC 0018) mb 326298 PAL/Europe sold for over €2000.
In your opinion, looking at the photos, could it be considered really genuine?

Looking at other C64 from that time span I think it's genuine. At least I cannot spot anything that's highly unusual:
Except the price which i think is ridiculous high for a machine NOT equipped with chips as early
as the serial# suggests... but that's my personal opinion and collectors obviously think otherwise.
I've seen early US models equipped with ceramic chips (especially SID) sell for a lower price.
Though not THAT early to be honest.
