C128 core?

    Is there such a core?


    C128D is like a dream machine to me (as the C65 never really got a release back then and many of us moved to Amiga). Is it possible to run a C128 in Mega65?
    If yes, does it allow for 80 column mode? For GO64? For CP/M? (i.e. Z80)

  • With the Mister2MEGA framework in principle all Mister cores can be transferred to MEGA65.
    But keep an eye on the Discord channels, some people are already working on a C128 core but I cannot remember if it first is for Mister or directly for MEGA65.


    We are all volunteers here, so if you can participate building a C128 core, the sooner we will have one :thumbsup:

  • Actually, there are even two independent C128(-like) cores at once in development for the MiSTer platform. The first one is this (which is the same as mentioned above):

    While the other is an extended SuperCPU128-like (thus quite a MEGA65-inspired one) being developed by the same person who is also porting the MEGA65 core to MiSTer:
