I am converting a game of mine in BASIC from the Commodore 64 called 'UP' on Xemu - MEGA65. Thanks to 'drwuro' ( ZEHA ) Balloon65 program, I have been able to figure out how to use sprites and move them around.
Does anyone know how to program or poke them using DATA statements with either decimal or HEX?
I've looked at the MEGA65 memory map and sprite data is stored at $0600 ( 1536 ). I tried something like this but all I got was " Type Mismatch Error "...
6000 FOR S1 = 1536 TO 1599 : READ Q1 : POKE S1,Q1 : NEXT
6010 DATA 255,255,255,255,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0
6020 DATA 0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0

Would anyone be able to help with this?
'UP' is almost complete and I will be releasing the source code so anyone can look and see how it works.
