Network/Ethernet support: Tools - and how to test setup?

Hi all

AFAICS, there is no support for networking in BASIC.

What are people doing with the network/Ethernet support?

Are there any cool tools?

I have a setup where I use a Wifi-to-LAN adapter and I am not even sure that this is set up and working correctly. Are there any recommended ways to test his?

As far as I know there is no software at this point of time that supports the Ethernet interface.
