That's a v2.7 rom that is considered not the real one. Its purple/gray and has RUN on F7 if i reckon correctly. The original is black/green with DIR (>$0) on F7.

Uridium You obviously have no idea what you're talking about. So why open your mouth and let all that nonsense come out? It only makes it harder for those looking for a solution to their specific problem. You state three things and all of them are wrong:
ZitatThat's a v2.7 rom that is considered not the real one.
Considered by who? The only authentic SpeedDos drive ROM is version 2.7.
ZitatIts purple/gray and has RUN on F7 if i reckon correctly. The original is black/green with DIR (>$0) on F7.
Nope. It's a drive ROM, so they don't have fancy colours. And the original Kernal ROM uses the standard C64 colours not "black/green".
Trying to discredit what others say without any factual ground only makes you look like a fool. This is a waste of time...

No need to be rude. In Germany we have rules. A friendly reminder. I was not talking to you.
@Capstan:
The Mr.Z hacked ROM doesn't work with other ROMs indeed: DIR works but not LOAD. Exactly as you said. This can be tested on Vice.
I'm not sure which ROM you're exactly using but if its the purple/gray one i would recommend to drop that for the black one that is the most common.

The links above I already know since the beginning of the thread, I already testet Speeddos by Mr. Z from the CSDB-link!

This is absolutely wrong and I never said that! The opposite is the case! Just read again post#13! This only means the Speeddos in Floppy 1541! (Btw. the 1541-Floppy-Speeddos from Mr. Z is a 35-Track-Speeddos)
---
All what I certainly can say now is, that the Speeddos in the C64 must correspond to the Speddos in the Floppy 1541! Then it works.
And for the Speeddos in my C64 there is a 1541-Speeddos for 35Tracks needed, that's for sure.

Yes, probably no one is wrong here. We all talk on our own though. I did test some ROMs that didn't work and you did test some other roms that didn't work either.
If you want to find a valid companion for your current kernal its essential to know what kernal this exactly is. We need to identify it, either by the small text differences (make a screenshot), MD5 checksum (best way) or you can clearly say where you've downloaded it. That would be one way to progress here.
The other way is you start from scratch and take a valid and confirmed well-working rom combination like this one. That's the black/green Speeddos+.
And the last thing is you need to know what you want. There are at least 3 different major Speeddos versions: Blue, purple/gray, black/green. And even this ones have many sub-versions.
Choose your destiny!

I've got already a working combination => problem solved.
