  • At this French website there are some interesting early design studies for the C65:

Original French site: Bitte melde dich an, um diesen Link zu sehen.

(For any reason, you have to change the two "XX" in the link to "oo" google)

For reading, you can translate the site e.g. with Google Translator.

They also think about a version with a build in 5,25" disc drive. :)

Warning: If you scroll down the text you can also see some naked breasts (in 256 colors!). :D

Doesn't look to me like sketches made by Commodore employees. Instead those pictures remind me of some kind of competetion the German magazine 64'er once held around 1988 - 1990. As rumors about a "C64 III" appeared but no further information was leaked, readers were asked to show how they imagine what the computer could look like. Well, there you have some of the results, I guess. Somebody should check some 64'er issues to confirm. :)

  • They even show a screenshot of my palette editor from 25 years ago... always a strange feeling... ;)

    Thanks for the hint!

I found a short article in 64er (1988/02) and a cover with two pages in (1988/04) so far (attached as pdf file).

There they think about rumors about a new C64. :)

  • Always funny (looking back today) how 64'er magazine gave away a C65 as the SECOND prize, with an analogue sat receiver + tiny dish as the first prize.

One of these things is worthless today...

  • In 64er 1989/09 there is another article about the rumours of the "new C64".

In the article there are the "design studies" made by readers of the magazine (as -trb- mentioned above) , how they think, the "new C64" could/should be. :)

I have attached the pages as pdf again.

  • Hmm that page only says few sentences of Chinese something, translated to "page not found", etc by google translate :(

That's the link to see the Google translation to English:

    https://translate.gXXgle.com/translate?hl=&sl=fr&tl=en&u=https%3A%2F%2Fsites.gXXgle.com%2Fsite%2Fksinfos%2FHome%2Farticles%2Fle-commodore-c65

You have to change the "XX" in the link to "oo" (for google).

For any reason link with "google" can not be posted. :/

  • Hmm, I did, now error 404 from google what I get. It seems this page does not want me for a visit at all ....

Try this: Bitte melde dich an, um diesen Link zu sehen.

I used a url shortener for the translation to English.
