Hi there,
We have been hard at work to improve the performance of VICE's rendering and synchronization. Which, among a lot of changes, means a threaded UI and using per-arch rendering. So DirectX for Windows, Metal for MacOS and OpenGL for Linux/BSD.
This build should solve a lot of the "ruckeln" issues. Of course it's still very much a work in progress, so things might not work perfectly yet.
What we'd like to know is if it works better than current trunk/nightlies and if there are issues, or stuff that does work, please report them here. We're also interested in reports of people who have monitors that aren't fixed to 50 or 60 Hz, but can set to the proper frequencies, or monitors that can adjust to them, ie the g-sync/freesync stuff.
Anyway, here's the download link, 64-bit only: https://sourceforge.net/projec…-ui-20200529.zip/download
