In a few days the year 2008 is finished. In the moment exists 380 articles at http://www.C64-wiki.com
Could we reached the 400 until this year ends?
I'm anxious, when we reached the 400 articles...
Happy new Year 2009

Well, I got the message. Maybe I will pick a few German game articles and translate them. But I cannot tell when yet. Either I could take a few shorter articles or start with the articles of the year/months which aren't translated by now.
BTW: of course it would be nice if a few more authors would join!
Hopefully I can join in as well, maybe we can make it!
I didn't mean you with "Joiners". Actually I thought you ARE the English Wiki
At least I am pretty sure you were one of the most hardworking authors during the last year.
But that's no reason to lean back, keep up the good work!

Thank you, but I am only quite active on the games articles... I don't have any competent knowledge on the technical side, which is a rather big part in the c64-wiki.....
Now, I've continued my work on translating some of the Games Collection articles (which are rather small), so there's only 10 to go!
Well, except for BASIC and games I haven't contributed much either. And even though the keywords are mostly in English, I do not feel like translating hardware articles unless I at least understand them in German.
But there are still so many games left to write or translate articles... In German Wiki we still did not get over the magic 500. And there are tons of games missing. So there's a lot to do even for technical semi-lamers like me and maybe you
Okay, now there are only 8 missing for 400...
That's true, there is a lot to do in translating game articles.
Only 5 articles to go!
ich hab ja noch nie ein wiki geschrieben, aber könnte man nicht so eine art "most wanted" liste erstellen oder irgendwie eruieren wonach am meisten gesucht wird, und demnach artikel darüber machen?
Well, at least there is a list of the most-linked articles which don't exits yet in the German Wiki:
Klick
So if you want to write an article in German, feel free to consider that list.
I don't know wether there's an according list in the English Wiki.
But my impression is that any translation or new article in the .com-Version is welcome,
since there are still many missing.
Right now the German Wiki is more than 3 times as big as the .com.
so i've also written two short articles.
i'm not really used to editing wiki's, somehow the formatting always turns out different than in the preview.
and the layout generally could be better, i think there is a template, will edit this later and add links too.
but at least it's the will that counts
Good job, only one's missing...
... and Jodigi could be proud of us...
Sorry I was too tired to do the last missing article today, but of course I can do it tomorrow. Anybody please feel free to write the 400th article instead of me.
You have all a wheel from
Congratulations to everbody who write together with us in the english C64-Wiki.
Yesterday ( 30.12.2008 ) we have got reached the 401 article.
PS: An article will be counted, when the article get a category.
Thanks to zerozillion, too.
The next milstone is 500 !
I think, when the look back, we have got written 200 articles in the last 13 months.
I suppose that we get this milestone in the summer time...
@zerozillion :
It is very easy to write in a wiki. To learn about more you can read the hints or look at some big articles in the source about text formatting.
The most wanted lists are at the main page under the link "wanted pages".
You can be look in the German C64-Wiki, if an article is exist and try to translate or using some ideas from the german C64-Wiki article...
Nice that you write with us.
Happy New Year to everybody
Oh sorry zerozillion, I kind of missed out you already exceeded the 400 articles! :rotwerd:
Thank you everyone for that good work!
