Mac G4 und VLC

Hallo,

ich habe hier ein komisches Problem, das vielleicht hier jemand lösen kann.

Vor mir steht ein reparierter G4/533MHz mit 640MB Arbeitsspeicher (1x128MB, 2x256MB) mit Standard Rage128-AGP-Grafikkarte und MacOS 10.4.11 und VLC 0.9.6.

Wenn ich jetzt einen Film abspielen möchte (ca. 700MB groß über USB1.1-4GB Speicherstick) bekomme ich zwar Sound aber nur ein SCHWARZES Bild.

Hat jemand dafür eine Lösung.

P.S.: Diese Lösung habe ich auf auch noch auf einen iMac G3/500MHz, 256MB Arbeitsspeicher und denselben USB-Stick (auch USB 1.1-Schnittstelle am G3) und unter Ubuntu 10.x probiert. Da funktioniert VLC einwandfrei, wenn auch etwas zäh...

Schau mal in den Einstellungen vom VLC bei Streamausgabe (zur Not dann erweitert anklicken) ob die unteren 3 aktiviert sind. Also Audio, Video und SPU.

Dann im selben bei Video, müsste aktiv sein: Video aktivieren, Verspätete Frames fallen lassen, Frames überspringen.

So hab ich das auf meinem kleinen G4/400 und es funzt.
System1: Amiga1200/40 mit 40Mhz. 3,5GB Festplatte, DVD-Burner LG4163B

System2: Amiga2000; 8MB Ram, Kick 2.0 + Kick 1.3; 400MB HD + 210MB HD + 4x Cd-Rom

System3: Amiga2500 / 30 komplett

System4: PowerMac G4 800 Mhz, 1.5GB RAM, 400GB HDD

Es gab VLC-Versionen, bei denen der PPC Support fehlerhaft war. Zudem wurde auch nicht jede VLC-Version gerade schneller auf alten Systemen. Daher verwende ich auf meinem 500 MHz G4 immer noch VLC 0.8.6d (stabil und schnell auf PPC). Versuch doch mal, diese Version zu bekommen und das Video damit noch einmal abzuspielen.

Danke Retrofan,

das wars. Ich habe VLC 0.8.6i (letzte Version für MacOS X.3) installiert. Funktioniert einwandfrei und dermaßen schnell. Sogar noch schneller beim Aufmachen von Filmen als mein G5 DUAL 2,5GHz unter MacOS X.4.11 und VLC 0.9.6
